Bare Arms Brewery Partners with BlueCats on Team Branded Craft Beer

Waco, TX –Baseball and Beer.  They go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly and so it seems so does Bluecats Baseball and Bare Arms Brewing.    The relationship between baseball and beer goes back a long way.  Back in the 1880’s, St. Louis Browns owner Chris von der Ahe started this unique partnership by renovating Sportman’s Park and building a beer garden in the right-field corner.  It was extremely profitable and popular and it only grew as the years went on.

So the trend watching a game at the ballpark while enjoying a cold beverage has become  lifelong tradition for fans of major sporting events. The Waco Bluecats stadium will continue this trend by having a beer garden of their own on the 3rd base side of the stadium with great views of the field.

“The importance of this partnership with Bare Arms was discussed in the very early stages of the BlueCats,” stated team President, Tom Hill.  “We felt the BlueCat brand combined with the local brewery in Waco would create an incredible opportunity that would extend outside the gates of the stadium.”

Bare Arms Brewing was started in 2015 by mechanical engineers Keith Collier and Justin Veach.  They started brewing craft beer as a hobby but then quickly used their passion to push forward on selling the great beer they were formulating.   ”Our goal is to create a brand that everyone in the area can connect with and enjoy, so when we were approached by the BlueCats, it was an easy decision.  The opportunity and community presence that the BlueCats will bring is amazing, and we are very excited to work with them.”

The BlueCat Ale is a smooth blonde ale with a malt forward profile.  With an alcohol by volume of a 4.8%, it is refreshing without being overpowering.  Subtle hops with a unique malted oak make it the perfect drink for outdoor activities and watching any game.   BlueCat Ale will be available for purchase at restaurants as well in major retail stores throughout the Waco market.

The exclusive BlueCat Ale will be launched at 3 different events coming up in the middle of September.

The first event will be held at Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom on Friday evening September 15th.  The first 100 guests will receive a one of a kind glass to try out the BlueCat Ale.

The next 2 events will be held on Saturday September 16th.  The first event will be Bare Arms annual block party at their facility from Noon-8pm.  Later that evening, the product will debut again at the 18th Annual Wine & Food Festival benefiting the Humane Society of Central Texas from 2pm-6pm.

The new Waco team will play in The Ballpark at Bellmead, a new $11MM stadium located just off Interstate 35 northbound near Loop 340 in Bellmead, TX.  The stadium will feature seating capacity for baseball of 4,000.

The Southwest League ( will play a 112 game schedule with 56 home games and 56 games on the road.  Opening day is Thursday, April 25, 2019.
